Client: Multi-national engineering manufacturing company serving Domestic and Export markets. OEM with a long history of being a market leader.
Scope: Outsource all component manufacturing operations and close existing machine shop and foundry operations. Retain only assembly and testing facilities. Maximise outsourcing opportunities. Identify and implement Vendor SLA’s for all components. Improve on time delivery performance.

 

 

 

Execution: New Supply Chain established using all UK based companies. Transfer of equipment and resources to new supply base. This was a 12 month full time project for key S4S Ltd consultant. A comprehensive product and component outsourcing analysis developed with a Vendor selection criteria process implemented. All aspects negotiated on behalf of the client. Outsourcing program developed and project managed. All cost and timeframe KPI’s achieved. Internal personnel trained to ensure project continuity. Project delivered on time and within budget. Lead time of component manufacture significantly reduced.
